Modes with Root A: Locrian

Now we are doing A locrian which is the 7th mode of B flat major a half step above it. So if we go through and play our scale we have a lot of flats here 1 flat, 2, flat 3, flat 4, or no regular 4. 1, flat 2, flat 3, 4, flat 5, flat 6 and flat 7 so you just have 1 and 4 very minor it is called the half diminish scale and we use it as our 2 minor for a minor 2,5. So we have 2 half diminish, to 5 altered, to 1 minor, 2 half diminish half diminish, to D alter, 5 altered to 1 and that is how we use the low locrian mode out of B flat major.
