Modes with Root A: Aeolian

So now we are at our A aeolian which is the 6 mode of C major. It is basically a minor chord with a flat 6 in it so we have 1,2,3,4,5, flat 6,7. Now, if you use that chord vocally or chorally that flat 6 does not want to work but if you use it melodically it work beautifully. You can even play Dorian with your left hand and still follow with the A aeolian. So it is a good scale to use melodically if you throw that flat 6 in there. Great tool for melody aeolian.
