Visiting a Day Care Classroom

Hello! My name is Cindy Glover and on behalf of Expert Village.com, I am going to talk about visiting a classroom before deciding on choosing a licensed childcare center. You will want to look for the fire evacuation plan and storm evacuation plan. You should get a good feel of the dynamics of this environment after 1 to 2 hours to see how busy your child is during the day, how many transitions he is required to go through and are they transitioning from one activity to another in a smooth way. One way that a teacher can help a transition run smoothly is through songs. Songs are made up. For example, when it is time for the children to clean the classroom, put toys away, put books away, the teacher may start a little chant and the children come familiar with that and they know that it is time to clean up in a friendly and positive manner.
