Card Predictions Magic Trick Technique

My name is Wayne Phelps. I am a professional magician and this is Expert Village.com. What I have for you is a prediction card. This trick is amazing. Your friends are going to love it, check it out. What I am going to do is predict a card the spectator will select before they select it. I am going to use a prediction card to do this. My prediction card will be the same color, same value opposite suit of the card they will eventually select right here. I think this is going to be the one. You take the special card and lay it face down on the table; I isolate it by putting it in an empty deck box, just like this. I close the deck box off and I set it at the edge of the table away from you where I cannot reach. Now I simply shuffle the cards, just like this and I have the spectator say stop whenever they want to stop. I stop, I show them the card they stop on and I tell them remember my prediction will be the same color, opposite suit of the card you would select. You selected the 9 of hearts. So I should have the 9 of diamonds. The box is opened, the card is revealed and indeed, it is the 9 of diamonds. That is a prediction card trick. Did you guys figured out how I did it. It is easy once you think about and break it down into steps. The prediction card utilizes a few principles we have already learned. What I need to do is I need to look when I am giving my speech about a prediction in the same color and same value and the opposite suit. What I am looking for is a top card in the deck. Once I know that top card, I simply find its mate. I drag it out a little bit, I give a bit of a speech on how it has to be a special card, etc. and when I find its mate, I pull it out and put it on the table. I explain it will be the same color, same value opposite suit of the card they will select. I prefer to isolate the card in the deck box. You can put it out of the way, under a mat, hand it face down to a spectator whatever you want to do. I find it more impacting to have it in a deck box that is sealed. Come back to the deck and do a shuffle. When you shuffle off you do a top retention because you do not want that top card to move; that is the selected card. Shuffle up a few times and then do a slip force. They say stop, you slip it off, and you give them the card. The card they selected is the 9 of hearts. It goes to the table, you reveal the card, you say it is the same color, same value opposite suit so it should be red 9 opposite suit of a heart is a diamond, you put the card down and reveal voilà, 9 of diamonds. Congratulations, you got a miracle in your hands.
