And they say he used this axe. Hi I'm Matt Cail and on behalf of Expert Village I'm here to show you how to tell a good ghost story. Another thing with your voice is the issue of volume. A lot of people for dramatic affect decide to suddenly amp up the volume. They're going to be startled suddenly if I talk really loud in a big booming voice and then combine that with very active speculation. Now I don't want to say that ever works because it can be jarring and shocking when you suddenly raise your voice. But I find that people who usually do that tend to over use it the first time it's a little shocking, the second time your audience is already becoming desensitize to it. In contrast speaking in more of a hush voice and just having a little more of a dramatic effect having more of just your normal volume of voice. Not suddenly raising and lowering, raising and lowering after while that's just jarring and it will take your audience out of the mood of the story. So try to really watch your volume control don't go to loud if you do limit yourself to only once in your story unless it's really call for it, when in doubt just speak in a normal volume that you would.
