How to Sign Numbers 1,2, & 3 in Sign Language

Hello! My name is Melissa Schenk and on behalf of Expert Village today we're going to be learning about sign language. In the up coming clips, we're going to learn how to sign the alphabet and the numbers 1-10. Alright, so now that we've learned our ABCs, let's learn our 123s. In our final clips, we'll learn our numbers from 1-10. Let's start off in this segment with our numbers 1, 2, and 3. Now, the number 1 as you can see, basically the index finger is held up to show the concept of 1. Very simple. If you were watching me it would look like this. 1, 1, 1. 2, very similar. For the number 2 of course we're going to go like this, but if we want to say the word twice for instance, we take that 2 and to make it twice the middle finger of our second, right in here. Our middle finger of the second hand shape will strike up and off the palm of our other hand much like this. 2, so that middle finger as we bring our hands up, we just take that middle finger and strike the palm and take that hand outwards. We go from 1 to 2 or twice. Twice, twice. 3 or 3 times. 3 of course, 3. Not like this. A lot of people do this. Use your thumb for 3. 3. If you want to say 3 times like 2 times, you do the same thing. That middle finger will strike the palm of the other hand, but you're having 3 instead of 2. 3 or 3 times. 3, 3 times. 1, 2, 3, twice, twice, 3 times, 3 times. In the next clip, we'll learn 4, 5, and 6.
