Questions & AnswersHi! Welcome back to Expert Village and my name is Charlie Folkman. Today we are going to continue building our gazebo. So now it is time to put on your roof. Now what we are going to do is take our 2x4's and attach them to each beam. How we are going to do that is cut a 45 degree angle for each 34 inch part on both sides and the other ones for the 24 inch part are going to be flush. They are going to sit on top of the beam just like this and that corner right there, you want to make sure that it hits the corner of that beam. Okay so now what we are going to want to make sure that it is flushed with the edge of the beam here and the corners are flushed like it is now. We are going to go ahead and put a screw in it. Now since it's not cosmetic, we don't need to pre-drill it. Then after we get this screwed in, we are going to go ahead and flush up this corner with this side of the beam and add another screw here. Once we get that done, we are going to put one more screw in each end and call it good and do that all the way around.
