Do Not Flirt When Pulled Over
Hi! My name is Shaun Appler, investigator with the Wrightsville Beach Police Department. On behalf of Expert Village, I am here to talk to you today about what to do when you are being stopped by the police. Another thing you do not want to do is take that politeness too far. Officers are professionals there to do a job. Don't flirt with the officer and think you are going to get out of a ticket. It is not going to work. Don't try to cry your way out of the ticket. The officer is there to do his job. If you cry, don't expect to get out of that citation. You can be upset like I said but people react to stress in different ways but chances are if you are faking the crying, you fake the flirting, the officer is going to see through it and it's not going to help you at all. Another big thing is don't try to bribe your way out of a citation or an arrest. I guarantee you do not have enough to cost me my career, the livelihood of my family, my home, my security. You don't have enough to offer me. Don't offer a bribe. Be polite, be professional with the officer. He is going to be professional with you.
