What is a French Manicure?Hi, my name is Lillian with Salon de Scottsdale and on behalf of expertvillage.com I’m here to talk about and to demonstrate how to give yourself a French manicure. A French manicure first of all is a manicure that instead of covering the whole nail with a certain color you just cover the tips, usually it’s a white color. They’ve become so popular these days that even different colors are applied on the tip but the normal more popular is just covering the tip of your nail with a white coloring. I’m going to show you some supplies that you’re going to need. It’s really inexpensive, most people go have it done professionally and it runs into a lot of money so if you just buy some of the supplies it’ll cover that usually pay for one manicure, you can buy supplies and it could last you for months.

This is the best home french manicure video that I've found on the web. Be sure and use pure acetone to clean off the tips. It works best. Thank you Lillian!

Wow, thanks for posting this! I have a ? though: my white tip polish runs when I apply the topcoat, is that because I have bad quality polish or I don't allow them to dry more? Hope you or someone else has an answer for me!
