Hey guys. My name is J and I'm talking to you on behalf of Expert Village. Today we're going to be making candied apples, caramel apples and we're going to make another dish and it's called rocky-road apples. On this clip I'm going to show you the tools that you need to make these candied apples, and the first tool I'm going to consider is a measuring cup. You're going to need this to measure your ingredients. Next off you're going to need a thermometer. This is to measure the candied syrup that's going to go on the candied apples. And I don't recommend a meat thermometer, I recommend a thermometer that goes up past 300 degrees. Also, we have little popsickle sticks here. You can use any type of stick to put inside of your apple, I just put popsickle sticks in mine, it's so easy to do. Also, another tool is red food coloring. Another tool is Pam Cooking Spray, or anything that is oiled, you can use butter, anything so that the candied apples don't stick to the surface you put them on. We're going to need some kind of wrap to wrap the apples. I'm going to use this plastic wrapping that's used for presents, but I'm going to use it to wrap these apples in. And you can use whatever you like. Anything plastic will work well. Definitely need some napkins. It's a sticky job, guys, and napkins are helpful. Another thing you're going to need is some ribbons, of course, so we can tie these candied apples when we're done with them. Scissors are also helpful in this project here. Any type of flat surface, whether it be a paper plate, a bowl, or anything you can put your nuts in so you can roll them at the very end. I'm just going to use this top to my Ziplock container here. Also, we're going to need a backing sheet and some foil. And last, but not least, we're going to need pots. We're going to need some pots about this size, and I'm going to use two of them. In fact, if you have a double-boiler, and what I mean double-boiler is a bowl that fits on top of your pot here, or you can have one that's already made, but what I'm going to do is put one pot on top of the other to create my double boiler. And that will be later on in the session. That's basically it for the tools you need to make candied apples, and we're going on to our next clip. Thanks.
