Preparing English Muffins for Pizza

Hi, this is Richard Buccola here in New York City and on behalf of Expert Village, today I'm going to show you how to take all of that frozen pasta sauce that you have your freezer and show you different ways to make some fast inexpensive pizza where you and the kids can have fun making it. A fun inexpensive way to make some pizzas and get the kids involved, English muffin pizza, they love them. I just cut them in half to make a whole bunch. I toast them first, again I also put some olive oil on these. Drizzle some olive oil and look, while the French bread pizza is getting done, I'm actually doing these. I'm going to put some olive oil on them and just put them in the toaster oven. A funny thing, I did some history searching about English muffins, they've been around since the early 1800s. What they would do is the people that were working for the rich people, they would make these for the peasants, so the servants that were working the maids and the chamber maids and the stuff and it turned out that the rich people they working for said, hey this is great. Next thing you know, they started eating them and from there someone caught on and said this is a great thing. So English muffin pizzas, throw them in your pizza oven here. You just want to get them brown, this is just the base, they will cook in a oven too afterwards when we put our toppings and stuff on them. So that's our second one; our English muffins, our French bread is in there.
