Ingredients for Making Bruschetta

Hi this is Rich Buccola here in New York City and on behalf of Expert Village today I'm going to show you how to take all of that frozen pasta sauce that you have in your freezer and show you different ways to make some fast inexpensive pizza where you and the kids can have fun making it. So were back I'm going to show you how to make bruschetta it's an Italian topping very simple to make very flavorful your going to need tomatoes I actually grew these right out in my terrace here in New York City. Your going to need 3 nice beefy hardy tomatoes this time of the year the end of the summer there's an abundance to tomatoes go out and stock on them. Fresh basil sometimes you can't get fresh basil so I grow my own and I freeze it I'll show you on this table how we freeze it and how we use it for different meals. You going to need some fresh garlic about 8 cloves your going to need a red or yellow onion, I like the red. A small onion is fine your going to need extra virgin olive oil and salt and pepper to taste it's an amazing dish. Your also going to need some bread I'm going to show you some different variations with using bagel crisp, and maybe pita bread just to show you you don't need to have some french bread or Italian bread. It can be different types of bread that you put it on it's a great dish to start off with and for appetizers and also for just orderves so when I get back we'll start putting this together.
