How to Do a Back Crossover in Ice Dancing

Of course, everybody wants to skate backwards, so there's the famous back crossover. However, there are two ways of doing it. There's the back crossover where you actually push, pick your foot up, cross, and together, push, pick your foot up, cross, and together. As you become more advanced, you do what they call the back cut back. All you're doing is you're doing a swizzle out, crossover, together. Brenda's going to do the first type of crossover where you push, pick up your foot, and cross, push, pick up your foot, and cross. Okay. Now we're going to the more advanced where you just do a back cut back, so keep your foot down. That's probably the one thing that everybody does throughout your entire skating career is back cut back. You see that into everything.
