Hi, this is Jim Goettler on behalf of Expert Village. This is a video about how to manage a political campaign. We've been covering a lot of areas about what goes into a campaign, be it an initiative campaign or a campaign for a candidate. And one thing I just touched on before was opening field offices, getting offices around your state or even around your local region if it is a large county or a large city without spending a lot of money. Keep in mind, just as I said earlier, that a campaign is not a job. A campaign office is not going to be a fancy business office, as you might be used to. You're not trying to spend money on the campaign office; you're trying to spend money you have on the campaign itself. Now there are ways to make a campaign office more presentable with good or decent furniture, decent computers, etc. One little trick I've learned about is university surplus garages and warehouses. They often have to get rid of all the stuff each year or every couple years. Make use of it. Get the couches, the chairs, the desks. It's often for a few dollars a piece, but it's a way to flesh out a campaign office. You could also usually get computers at these places. You can get enough machines to get your office up and running. You may have to deal with operating systems, but you know there are ways to keep that tab down, too. Teach folks Linux if you have to. But the idea is to keep those office expenses down, yet keep them presentable, because people are going to walk in. This is going to be the first face they are going to see in your campaign, and if you're asking for money on a regular basis, which you will be doing, I think personally speaking, and this is an opinion shared by many: Folks don't want to see you spending all the money they're giving you on fancy office furnishings. Yet it can be very functional and very good all around. Stay tuned. I'm going to be going through some other details involved with a campaign, and the next one is going to be setting up your legal team for the campaign and how best to do it. Thanks.
