Using Monthly Reporting for Political Campaigns
Hi, this is Jim Goettler on behalf of Expert Village. This is a video series about managing a political campaign. The next two segments are really going to run together. The first segment is going to be about the need for financial reporting. And as you well know if you follow the news, it's often financial reporting or poor financial reporting that get people all sorts of trouble. And often it's simple sloppiness. It's people forgot to send something in to their state offices and the opposition caught hold of this little fact and made a big deal out of it, when there's no need for it. 9 chances out of 10 there was no intention to deceive anyone. It's just that the reports went in at the wrong time, but it makes for great fodder for the evening news. So please if you are working on a campaign, be it for a candidate or an initiative, those financial reporting documents must go in on time. Put them in your time-line and make them happen. The next segment I'm going to touch on that has a lot to do with this, of course at the same time, are the quarterly reports that you must also file. Thanks.
