What Time to Hold a House Concert

Hi! This is Jim Goettler wiht Expert Village. This is video series about producing a house concert. We are covering some of the nitty gritty that has to go in on how successful a house concert. One of the things out there we overlook is the timing; when you put this thing on. I suggest doing it earlier in the evenings especially on the weekends. Keep in mind that people might have other things going on in their lives and that not everyone wants to stay up all night. So think in terms of starting it early, 6 or 7 in the evening. The neighbors will be very appreciative not having cars pulling out late at night when they are trying to get to bed. So be conscious of the audience that people don't want to be up real late. Keep conscious of your neighbors. They may not want to be disturbed real late. The next section I want to touch a little bit on the kids. I love kids but not everyone does and you think about what you are going to do with that question when it comes up at your house concert. Thanks.
