Installing Gazebo Support Beams: Part 3

Hi! Welcome back to Expert Village. My name is Charlie Folkman and today we are going to continue building our gazebo. So now that we have everything attached, it is time to flip this over and we will screw it off. Okay so now we have it flipped over. Now in screwing what you really want to do on the outer perimeter skirts, you are going to want to do a screw every 6 inches all the way around and then we need to find out where our beams are in the middle. So what we are going to do is pull out our measuring tape and from this point our beam is going to be out 25 1/2 inches, so we will come out 25 1/2 inches. We will make a mark here and a mark here and we will also do that on the other side. Okay so that is how we are going to install those 6 inches. We are going to do the same thing for the supports in the middle but we are going to go about every 8 inches. We are going to go ahead and get the rest of this screwed off and then we are going to move our platform to the location where we want it to be so it is a lot of easier to move the platform and the pieces. Okay as you can see, we already have our drop cloth laid out. The reason for this is because it is a lot easier to get a drop cloth underneath before we have the whole gazebo built. That is just mainly for the staining purposes.
