Demonstration of a Neck Adjustment Chiropractic Treatment

Hi my name is Dr. Scott Rothman from the Wayne Chiropractic Health Center and on behalf of Expert Village.com I would like to demonstrate today what an upper cervical or neck adjustment looks like. This patient has been coming here for a couple of weeks. Some of her major problems have been migraine headaches. We have been working on the very top of her neck, the upper cervical and her headaches have greatly diminished so far and the frequency of headaches has also diminished. What we are doing today is evaluating her spine, seeing the motion and mobility of her neck, checking for any inflammation in the muscles and in joint spaces and we are going to give her the chiropractic neck adjustment. Will show you how gentle it is. Neck feels pretty good. It is definitely improving over the last couple of weeks so why don’t you just scoot back and lie on your back. We are going to palpate the neck a little bit, do a little traction, some manual traction on the spine, opening up the joints a little bit, stretching the muscles, doing a little bit of massage, helping the patient really relax and then we just give a very slight little adjustment here just like that. How did that feel? Good. Pretty good? Very good and that is what a chiropractic neck adjustment is all about. She is feeling great now. Come on back up.
