Tips for Getting Out of a Speeding Ticket
Hi! This is Dan on behalf of Expert Village. And, this is using tactics to avoid getting a speeding ticket. These are things you're going to do before you actually get pulled over. These involve things such as the car you drive, how you drive, what you look for when you drive. The first thing I wanted to talk about is how you react to cops on the road. If you act suspicious when a cop is driving down the road next to you, the cop is going to look at you. And, that is going to increase your odds of getting a traffic ticket. When you see a cop and you're going faster than him, don't always slow down, but don't blaze past him on the left side. Pass him slowly and surely. If you're confident in your behavior, the cop's not going to have any reason to look at you. If you do need to slow down around a cop, though, don't tap your brakes. Red lights mean the cop's eyes go straight to you. Use a down shift. If you're in an automatic, you can still down shift and slow your car down before going back into drive. As a general rule, though, I try to keep cops in my blind spots or myself in their blind spots. For example, if I'm driving behind a cop, I'm in a place where he can't see me in his rear view mirrors. He has to actually physically turn his head to see me. Or, if I'm in front of him, I keep a semi-truck or another group of cars between me and him.
