How to Speed Safely
Hi! This is Dan on behalf of Expert Village. And, this is using how you speed to avoid getting a speeding ticket. There's certain things you want to watch for when you speed, certain guidelines you have to keep. There are certain times and places where you would want to speed, and times and places where you would not speed under any circumstance. There's times when cops are more active and cops are more likely to pull you over, times to avoid, such as rush hour traffic. The last time I was in a packed road and saw a guy weaving in and out of traffic just to keep up his high speed, I saw a cop pull him over. He wasn't even breaking the speed limit, but he was doing something to draw attention to himself. And, the cop had reason to pull him over. That's something to watch for. Speeding at the same place late at night, probably wouldn't have gotten the guy a ticket. He could have gone twenty miles over the limit and it would have been fine. How your speed is very critical. When I'm driving down the road, I always look for the posted speed limit. If I'm on the Interstate and it's a sixty-five mile per hour zone, I have a limit on myself of fourteen miles over or less. I've usually been pretty safe with that, not getting pulled over. Going beyond that, I'm in danger of getting pulled over. If I'm on a city street and the speed limit is thirty-five to forty-five, I try to keep my speeding to nine miles over or less. That way if a cop is using a radar detector, my miles over will be in the single digits and won't pull as much attention to myself. Paying attention to how you speed is very critical to not getting pulled over to begin with and will help you avoid speeding tickets.
