Setting up a Sequence on an Akai MPC Drum Machine
D.J. Brasby here for expert village, we are going over making hip hop beats with the MPC. We are going to start a sequence, we got one setup here at 90 beats, we have brought in some more sounds. It is our kick snare, high hat and some other noises we have brought in. So we are going to lay down our first track. We are going to put in a high hat on the quarter note. So just hit every beat. To record, you'll hold record down and hit play start it gives you a four count metronome and then on the fifth count its starts recording. We are going to records two bars of high hat right now. So we have a loop on and its going to keep looping. If you want to go to track 2 hit F6 and we can lay in a snare right now. If you want to stop recording and keep it playing just hit right here, over dub, keep playing. If you want to stop the beat all together just hit the stop button.
