How to Record Audio Tracks in Digital Performer

Hi, my name is Jeff Pence with UB Media with Expert Village. In this clip I will demonstrate how to record and edited an audio track in a digital performer. Let's say repeat area our memory start is on three and our memory cycle is at four so we would make it a four bar phrase. Something like that, on our first guitar track which we have named here are on analog three on the mode two-twenty-eight, click record and able. And download it on the right hand corner you see we have a audio monitor. Go back a measure and just hit record and we are going to start playing in measure three. You stop there and push the space bar to listen back and we click the guitar track the mixer will do on the left side will come up. Take it out and listen. That is how we record a tracking digital performer. Now we are going to set a automatic punch in and out point just in case you don't play it perfect the first time. We have a record, arrow down, audio record, and up is out, down is the end. So lets move this over to bar four and five we are going to punch it in four bars. So just play that section over again, up with guitar two and record ready and I can just play along with it and I hit record right away and it won't punch in to bar four and punch out on bar five. You see we have already punched out and we can go back and listen to it and that is how we audio punch in and out.
