Tips for Warming Salt Rising Bread Starter
Hello my name is Jenny Bardwell and I'm here on behalf of Expert Village with my colleague Susan Brown and we are going to teach you today how to make salt rising bread. Here is a example of a starter. Salt rising bread starter inside the crocker pot. Here Susan was talking about on top of the crock pot and you can put hot pads as much is need to ensure the correct temperature of a 100 degrees Fahrenheit or about 38 degrees Celsius and here is a photo is a starter inside the crock pot. I put a little water in enough so it does not over flow into the starter bowl. You set it at what temperature? Well you know these crock pots they would never tell you the temperature so I just put it like on the very early and then I put my thermometer in so it reads about 100-105 degrees Fahrenheit.
