How to Assemble a Bookcase
Hi this is Jon on behalf of Expert Village in this video clip we would be assembling our project. First we need to measure and mark 1 inch in on each side because we are going to have that 1 inch over hang. Next I'm going to put some glue along where those 2 boards are going to meet. I'm going to go ahead and set those 2 boards together making sure that my line lines up and when I'm satisfied I'm going to put some pin nails. Now on our bookshelf unit our bottom shelf here is actually going to sit up about 2 inches and that is going to span the entire distance. Now however since we have bumped in each side about 1 inch we need to remeasure and recut or bottom shelf cause right now it is just a little bit to big. Once that has been recut I went ahead and just set that in place just so I can kind of get a visual idea on how that is all going to go. After that we can go ahead and measure, glue and then pin nail it in.
