Hi, I am Ed Kramarcik, PBA member and AMF staff player. We are talking about a four-step approach today, and if you would like any instructions or anything, you can email me or check my website at www.riptherackbowling.com; or visit me in my pro shop in Longwood or Orlando, Florida at Rip the Rack Bowling. Today I am going to talk about a four-step approach. With a four-step approach…what you want to make sure when you take a four-step approach is that you hold the ball to your waist. And when you take a four-step approach, you want to make sure that when you take your first step that you push the ball out at the same time. What that does is it is going to keep you in timing, and as long as you are in timing then you are going to have a smooth delivery. So when you take a four-step approach, remember that when you step, the ball has to get pushed at the same time that you are stepping. Now let me demonstrate it for you. So we are going to stand here, and we are holding the ball; now we are going to take a four-step. Now when you step, the ball is going to go with you, one – two – three – four. So you want to make sure when you take a four-step approach, when you push your arm out, the leg steps together and everything is in motion. If you have proper timing, then you will follow through on a shot and you will be successful. So whatever you do, push the ball; and I will demo that one more time for you just to give you an idea. Now you are holding the ball here: relax, hold it to your waist side, and you take your step…and push the ball with you to have good timing. So you are going to go one – two – three – four…and that is going to give you good timing. You will finish to the line, you will not tug the ball, you will not push the ball. Go out and bowl a big game.
