How to Choose Partners: Success Secrets

Hello I'm Kerul Kassel on behalf of Expert Village, what we are going to be talking about in this segment is speeding your success through partnering. Most of use feel like we have to get through our goals by ourselves otherwise some how we are less than we don't measure up. But that is a pretty limiting idea to go with. I suggest you partner with other people to help you accomplish goals. That kind of partnering accountability really gives you some great imposting with your goals. So let's talk about the best way to pick a partner, the best way to pick a partner is somebody who has similar goals to you, they don't have to be the same. You want somebody with the same level of enthusiasm and commitment. Somebody who is going to be available in about the same time you are, same days of the week, the time in the day, somebody who wants the same frequency of talking. They can be in person, it can be on the phone and the length of your partnering is something you want to agree on too. You can find partners at work, at school, in your family, with your friends, partners are everywhere. If there is a list that you are with somebody, people with common goals or common interest you can use the list serve. You can put an ad in the paper for a partner. So enthusiasm, comment are some other factors that you want to take into account is this person is enthusiastic as you are. Do they have the same commitment to their goals that you do? Are you going to be able to use a appropriate degree of accountability with each other? One of you may want the other to be a drill sergeant and that may not be appropriate for you so make sure you agree on a appropriate accountabilities for each other. Do it on a trail bases don't commitment to five, six, or a year, try it for a few weeks or a month first and see how it works out. Then revisit do a monthly check in with each other. Is this working? How could it work better? How can I support you better in your goals? The way the calls would work or in person meetings is that you report on progresses and you give each other support towards the goal. You would renewal your commitments or you would create commitments between now and the next time you talk and you would clarified with each other and check in to make sure that the commitments that you are making seem to be appropriate in other words that they are not to big and unmanageable or to small. Using a partner could help speed you to your goal and I highly recommend it find somebody to work with and you get there sooner.
