Makeup Tips for a Rock Star Costume

Hi this is David Jackel on behalf of Expert Village and I'm here to talk to about using more extreme makeup with your rock star costume. Now if you are going to a really crazy look or you want to go as somebody who really stand out you don't want just the basic, you don't want just a little bit of eyeliner you want you want a crazy makeup. So you are going to want to have eyeshadow, you are going to want to have lipstick, you are going to want to have lip liner, your are going to want to have lip gloss. Start with the eyeshadow. Take out the eyeshadow and apply very literally eyeshadow over your lids. You want to have really really dark sockets here. Don't make it look to classy, look like a rock star really crazy. Particularly if you are going as a punk rocker or a grunge rocker make it really nasty. With the lip stick having lip liner helps cause it can make a shape you want to shape around your lips. Then you use the lip stick to fill in the shape. How much lip stick do you use depends on the costume you want to make. Chances are you don't want to much otherwise you are going to end up looking like a clown which does not work with any rock star. I would generally would say use some crazy lipstick so it is weird and you are not just wearing lip stick for the fun of it. Finally you are going to want some lip gloss to give it a little extra speckle. You would apply that after you put on the lip stick and if you can get some sparkle as well with glitter get that to. A little bit of glitter on the cheek would grasp the attention. The more extreme makeup is not for every rock star costume, if you are going as a brick rocker for example you are going to look ridicules with any kind of lipstick and if you are going as a punk you are probably not going to want to wear lipstick either unless it is really black or something silly like that. So think about not over doing it as well when you are putting together your costume. If you costume calls for crazy makeup by all means do it but if it doesn't leave it out.
