Hi! This is David Jackel on behalf of Expert Village, and I'm here to talk to you about preparing your body for your rock start costume. Now, if you're investing the time and money into making a rock star costume, it doesn't hurt to invest some time also into preparing your body for the costume. Now, what do I mean by that? Well, you want to make sure that your body matches your costume. For example, if you're going as a glam rocker and you're wearing a jacket like this, which is going to be wide open, you might want to wax your chest. Same thing if you're going as a punk. Now, if you're not into waxing your chest, and I'm certainly not, then fine. You don't have to do that. That's probably not the kind of costume that you want to have, but there are other things that you can do. For example, if you're going as a Brit rocker as I am, you're going to want to make sure your hair isn't too long, so you would get a haircut before you will have your costume ready. Also, if you are on the heavy side and you want to as a rock star. Most rock stars tend to be on the skinny side. You can either try to slim down a little before it's time to have your costume, or if you're not going to be revealing too much, use brace to suck in your gut. A lot of men don't feel comfortable wearing things like this, but it's really a good idea because first, it's good for your posture and also it'll hide the gut and you'll fit into your costume a lot better. Of course, if you're going as punk or you're going as a Brit rocker or as a glam rocker, a mustache and the beard is not going to work, so make sure that you shave before hand. Little details like that will make a big difference in your costume. If you're going as a punk and you've got even a day of stubble, it's going to look kind of ridiculous, so shave. Obviously, since you're making a costume, it doesn't really have to reflect your body. Preparing your body is a good idea if you're serious about pulling off a good look and you want to go the extra mile and make things look right.
