How to Find a Rock Star Jacket

Hi! This is David Jackel on behalf of Expert Village, and I'm here to talk to you about selecting a jacket for your rock star costume. Now, most rock start costumes are going to involve some sort of jacket whether it's a leather jacket or something sillier like this one over here. The important thing about a jacket is that it's one the main things that people are going to see in your costume, so picking the right jacket is very important. For my costume, I'm going as a Brit rocker, so I see 2 basic options. One is a simple black zip up jacket like this, or if you really want to get into it, I found a jacket in my collection that says London on it. That's perfect because the Brit rockers were very into flaunting the fact that they were from England. If you want to go as a glam rocker or somebody in a hair band, a jacket like this from a second hand store is perfect. It's slightly effeminate, it's garish and ridiculous, and it will grab attention, which is the whole point of glam rock and hair bands. If you own a leather jacket, that works with just about any kind of costume. The wonderful thing with jackets is that chances are you have access to a good jacket. Maybe you already own a leather jacket or you know somebody who does. Someone in your family or one of your friends has got to have a jacket that would work with your costume. Don't spend too much money on a jacket. It isn't worth going out and dropping over really 50 dollars on a jacket. You can go to a second hand store and find something perfect for your costume.
