Hi! This is David Jackel on behalf of Expert Village and I'm here to talk to you about selecting footwear for your rock star costume. Now, the most important thing in selecting footwear is to find something that's comfortable. No matter how cool the boots or shoes you find are, if they hurt your feet they're no good, because then you're not going to wanting to go around in your costume. Whatever you pick, make sure it fits well. Now, if you're going for something for crazy like a glam rock or a hair band outfit, then what you should go for is boots. You can find boots like this in costume stores, in second hand stores. They're not too expensive. Just make sure that they fit well. If you're not used to wearing boots, you may find that they're not very comfortable so get a good fitting pair. If you decide that you want to go as an Indie rock or grudge rocker, boots work. Not those kinds of boots of course, but old sneakers work well too. Especially, if you've already drawn all over them like I have. If you're going as a Brit rocker or a metal rocker or Goth rocker, Dr. Martens are definitely the way to go, or comfortable black boots like these. They're simple. They usually fit really well too, and they're a nice pair of boots to have in general. For my outfit, since I'm going as a Brit rocker, I'm going to go with the Dr. Martens. I like wearing them in general, so it's a good match. Whatever you decide on, make sure most importantly that it's comfortable. If you choose footwear that you're not used to wearing, like boots like these for example, practice wearing them ahead of time before you go out wherever you're going with costume because you want to break in the boots and you want to make sure that you can actually walk in them. Also, if you're trying to decide on your budget and figure out where to spend your money, footwear is usually not the most important thing. If it comes to deciding on what to wear as a top or what to pick for footwear, don't spend 50 dollars on boots if that means you can't get a nicer top.
Not sure why anyone would need a video on how to pick out show for a rock star, I mean i got T in the Park Tickets and i dont think ill be shopping before the concert to try and fit in with any particular style.
