Hi! This is David Jackel on behalf of Expert Village and I'm here to talk to you about picking your rock start costume. You've decided to make a rock start costume, you've done your research, now you're trying to figure out which kind of costume are you going to make because there's a whole range of choices out there. Well the first thing you should think about are what resources do you actually have. If you already have the elements of lets say a glam rock costume. Let's say you already own a wig like this, then that may be the way to go. Maybe you have a pair of Dr. Martens. If that's the case, maybe something more like a traditional rocker is the way to go. Think about the things that you already have because you don't want to go out and buy all new things just for one costume if you can afford it. Another thing to think about is your body type. If you're slender then you have a lot of options. You can go as a punk, you can go as a glam rocker. If you're heavier or you're hairier, you probably don't want to be a punk because usually the punks didn't have any hair on their chests and the same thing with the glam, but you can go as a southern rocker or one of the hair metal guys. That would work. Be realistic. Think about your body type. Don't do something that doesn't match you. Also think about where you want to be using the costume. If you're going to a regular kind of party, some kind of normal Halloween party, you might not want to go as glam rocker because then you're going to be exposing a lot of things that you might not want people to be seeing. So, think about the environment that you're going to be in when you're wearing your costume. Another thing to think about is your own musical taste. If you're interested in particular style. Like let's say for example, I'm interested in Britpop, then that's the costume you want to make. You want to make a costume that matches your interests because then you can do something where you're really enthusiastic and you bring a lot of your own knowledge into the costume.
