This is Bill Macpherson for Expert Village in this clip I'm going to show you how to record, edit, print music notation using software instruments. So first we're going to create a new music project now with your track selected you want to go down and bring up your track editor. Down in this corner here we're going to choose this little note instead, you can see it brought up the music notation staff then you can hit record. (playing) Now what you can do in here is you can also drag and move these notes anywhere you like, if you choose a note you can see this green line that shows you how long that note will carry for. You can shorten it or make it longer or you can just move the notes up and down or over, and then when you're done you can listen back to what you did. (playing) And that's how you use music notation in garage band, I'm Bill Macpherson for Expert Village.
