This is Bill Macpherson for Expert Village in this clip I'm going to talk about doing multi takes on a software instrument. So the first thing I want to do is we want to go to our preferences and we want to make sure that we go under cycle recording and merge software instrument is off. So deselect that now what we want to is setup a cycle record so we're going to do down and turn on the cycle and you see up here in the cycle time line it turned yellow. You can easily change that to how many measures you want we're going to setup four measures and now the next thing we're going to do is hit record. So we'll hit our record button (playing) now we can hit stop, if we look at our track there's three tracks to it cause we did three takes of it. If you click and hold there you can see take one, take two and take three so if we play this (playing) we can go up to real time and listen to the different versions that you did. And once you find the version that you like you just delete the unused takes and that's how you do a multi take recording in garage band, I'm Bill Macpherson for Expert Village.
