How to Use the Loop Browser: GarageBand Tutorial

This is Bill Macpherson for Expert Village in this clip I'm going to show you how to use the loop browser. If you go down to this corner, click on the eyeball you see your loop browser pop up you can choose any type of instrument in here drums, bass, guitars, piano, you can also choose minor, major which will help you find exactly what you're looking for. We'll choose drums you can see it brings up all of the drums you can just choose rock and blues if you wanted to. All you have to do is click on one and you can hear it (playing) you can just simply play now these will all play to your tempo whatever that may be even though they're set at different tempos. So once you find a beat that you like you just grab it and drag right onto your time line and you can see it brought up a kit for it and it has it right there and you can play it back. So now that you have your drums you can choose another instrument or reset, you can choose a base now you can audition these base samples while the song is playing. We're going to set it to loop here so you find one hat you like and you can drag that one to the time line and that's how you use your loop browser in garage band, I'm Bill Macpherson for Expert Village.
