Hey guys, my name is J and I'm talking to you on behalf of Expert Village. On this clip I'm going to show you guys how to cut the onion for your German potato salad. First off you're going to want to cut the onion right in half. Once you cut the onion in half you want to take off this skin that's on here. And you see it comes off real easily. And you want to cut off maybe this little end here, and do that. But my first tip for cutting the onion is going to be cutting the halfway cut onion horizontally, not all the way though, you want it to be intact still. Then you're going to cut down and then you're going to cut across. That way you end with these beautiful little cubes and they're all the same. And since you didn't go all the way through on this one, across and down and across again. I'm gonna show you guys one more time. You're gonna go across, show you one more time. Go across horizontally and the you want to cut perpendicularly to that line and chop down. And that is basically how you cut your onions into small cubes.
