Avoiding Penalties as a Defensive Tackle

Hi! I'm Randy Guerrero here with Expert Village. I am going to show you some basics of the defensive tackle. Things that are not acceptable you don't want to get them face masked at the 15 yard penalty that can cost the team and cost the ball game, whatever it is. You don't want to tackle holding. This is holding at the penalty, 15 yard or 10 or whatever it is. Late hit is an important thing to do. When this offensive line shows pass, you are going out to the quarter back and if the ball is already out of his hand, hitting that quarter back could cost you a penalty and that's a late hit.
