When making a fire safety plan for your home, it’s a good idea to have at least one smoke detector in each bedroom near the door. Practice EDITH- exit drills in the home- with you and the rest of your family and kids. Make sure you know your exits, as far as your windows don’t have anything covered up or locked so that you can get out. Place fire extinguishers- place one in the kitchen and one in the garage.
