Hi, this is Ginny with Simply Beautiful Crafts on behalf of Expert Village and today we're going to be making a variety of versatile Halloween centerpieces. If you're going to make a centerpiece using a flat plate or a charger or any other base that is a firm base you definitely want it to be secure. In order to do that you need to have a floral circle or a floral block that fits your piece. This circle is too big for this charger, so in order to make it secure and one that's not going to fall apart, I either need to cut off the edges of it or I need to put a very secure glue or tape around the edges and fix it to the base. If I were going to use floral block, for the base, this is way too high and too narrow. So, what I would need to do would be to take a knife and slice it into pieces and make the pieces fit around in the center of my base. And again, I would need to secure this with some kind of glue or hot glue. So, if you want to reuse your charger, it might not be a good idea to glue it down and then you might want to think of something else you can use for a base because once you've glued it down you're not going to be able to remove it. But, if you don't glue it you're going to have a centerpiece that will move around on you, maybe fall over, and it will not be, you will not be happy with it. These blocks are a little bit difficult to cut but they're much less expensive than the floral circles, so you have several options. You can use a less expensive base, or you can go ahead and use your base and glue it, glue your floral circle to it. If you don't choose to do that you can use a floral block and cut it and shape it to fit and again you're going to need to glue it to the bottom in order to keep it secure. So remember, whatever you're doing and whatever kind of piece you're going to make you're going to need to have a good solid, secure base and glue on either your floral circle or pieces of your floral block.
