Tips & Advice on PTA Programs

Hi! My name is Leslie and I am from Tampa, Florida and on behalf of Expert Village, this is all about the PTA. Chapter 03: What does PTA off for schools and communities. PTA programs are created to encourage and support parent involvement in children education. PTA programs are created with leading expert organizations on topics of importance to our members at the members request. The programs are user friendly and are free to PTA's. No other parent group offer such credible and comprehensive programs to successfully engage families and communities. The PTA offers programs that benefit both parents and their children. The following are some of the most commonly used programs. PTA goes to work: This is a gateway to navigating the world of information on career, planning and getting your child or student to a path of exciting and rewarding career. The PTA in conduction with its US Department of Labor can help you connect to and explore the valuable resources for employment, training and career information. Back to school program resources help PTA get children ready for a successful school year. After school resources promote the benefits of school based after school programs and teacher appreciation week in the Spring provide ideas and resources to PTA's so they can recognize the contributions made by teachers to their children's education. School and Community Workshops: National PTA has created this new tool for local PTA's school community workshops. The three workshop topics are nutrition, bullying and the no child left behind act and the individuals with disabilities education act. Each workshop contains a summary of the topic and why PTA believes it is important to parents, ideas of hosting a workshop and collaborating with community leaders, a sample script for the presenter, workshop energizer and activities and handouts for participants.
