How to do Turn Steps for Aerobic Exercise

Okay, moving on to a little bit advanced exercises, we’re going to do a turn step next. We’ve mastered the basic right, left, V-step right left. A turn step is another variation of both of those. Starting with the right leg, we always lead on the right, we’re going to step up with the right foot. Heel toe, step up with the left foot, heel toe. Since it’s a turn step, when you exit you’re going to step down, turn your body, foot is still contact with the platform, and the left heel is going make contact with the floor. You are stepping all the way down, even though you’re alternating feet. Left, turn that entire body, foot makes contact with the floor, and you end up sideways against the side of that step. Your body is facing parallel to the step. You turn the body, pick up that pace, entire foot makes contact with the ground. Tap, heel, toe, tap, perfect. If you like, you can add some arms, once you get the hang of it, perfect. Perfect.
