Hi, this is Mike, and on behalf of ExpertVillage.com, and in this clip I am going to be showing you how to do an X-up. Now an X-up is commonly associated when you are doing jumping, whether it be on a box jump or dirt jumps. But you can also do it in airs or on other things when you are street riding too. Basically, the way that you do an X-up is when you go off of the jump you are going to push back and so your knees are centered around your seat. And once you are at the peak height, you want to turn your bars, make an X with your hands just like that. And there are two different ways that you can do an X-up, and there is no right or wrong way to do it. It is just whatever you feel comfortable. You can either turn it left, which I just did there, or you can turn it to the right just like that. You may want to experiment going both ways just to see which one you are most comfortable with. And even once you get that down, you can either do other variations like the one handed X-up, which is where you do an X-up and take one hand off like that. Or you can combine both different X-ups and do a double X-up in the air, which is going left and then going right all at the same time, all in the air. Now remember, just like most tricks, it is always easiest to learn this on the ground first, and then when you are comfortable with that, do it on a fly-out jump, which is either on top of a box, a deck or just a little wedge ramp that has a landing on top. And then when you are comfortable with that, you can take it to a jump whether it be doing a box jump, or doing doubles on dirt. And that is how you do an X-up.
