Deleting Browsing History in Internet Explorer & Firefox

Hi! I'm Gary for Expert Village. Now I am going to show you how to remove your history of viewed web pages automatically from the Internet Explorer. Internet Explorer uses a type of memory called cache. Cache is a very quick access memory that all your previous web pages are stored in and this is useful because the Explorer can load your pages quicker because it doesn't have to go and start searching for them first. It could just look into the memory and it loads the pages very quickly. But on the other hand for users, it is an invasion of privacy if anyone else is using your computer, they can visibly see all the pages that you've viewed. So what we are going to do is open up Explorer and go to tools and go down to Internet options. Once we are in Internet options, we are going to click on the advanced tab and the advanced tab we see has a lot of different settings, a lot of different options we can turn on and off. We are going to go down to security and under security is going to be an option that says empty temporary Internet files folder when browser is closed. We are going to turn that on and now every time that we close our Internet browser, it is going to automatically remove our history from the cache, from this rapid memory that Internet uses to load pages. So now anyone who opens up Explorer will not be able to see any type of track record and will be able to protect our privacy.
