Using Chalk & Sponges to Color Open Stamps
Hi I am Shelly Cordsen with Expert Village.com. We are doing rubber stamping and different methods of coloring an open stamp. This method I am going to show you is one of a chalk. You can buy chalk in different pallets in any craft store. You basically just rub your chalk and just start coloring in and it gives it a very soft look. There are so many colors there, you start getting your sponge really used up. You can buy at any department store cosmetic Q-tips and they work just as well to start coloring in. This gives you a very, very soft look. With chalk you can also use a water brush, just a little bit of water and you can rub it in your chalk and just get a very, very soft look and the water will not ruin your chalks. Just another way to use your chalks. Another coloring method is your fine colored pens. A wonderful colored pen to use is your gel pens. You could buy a large packet of all the colors, metallic colors. Gel pens work well especially if you are trying to accent stuff or get into small places and be very precise with your coloring, very similar to your markers, but a little bit more pointed, a little bit more precise and gel pens work wonderful. These are your two more methods.
