Now we are going to make the marzipan. Too simple. We use our blanched almonds. They don't need to be sliced, they can be whole. The blanching removes the skin. If you keep the one's with the skin on when you grind all these up, it is just going to look kind of dirty. It's not going to be pretty because you have the little bits of skin. We are going to put about 4 ounces, that's 4 ounces of the weight, not half a cup or about a 100 grams which is that much and we are going to give those a nice little grinding, tossing. I am going to add some sugar. This is a half cup of powder sugar and I am going to add a couple drops of almond extract. We are going to let it grind for a little bit till it becomes a nice thick paste. You may run this for a couple of minutes. Maybe up to 5 minutes so that it becomes a nice course paste. You can see it is starting to become a paste.
