How to Trim the Ends of a Long Hairstyle

Hi my name is Jan, I'm a professional hairstylist and colorist. I'm here in Plaza Salon in Paramus on behalf of Expert Village. This is April, she needs her hair to be more layered and volume. So I'm going to spray her hair with some water this way it would be easier for me to cut her hair. Now I have body silk, just get a couple of drops here. April, this would give a nice shine and protect her hair from blow drying also. I'm going to spray some more water. To style long hair I'm going to take about 1/2 inch of the length just to take the dry ends out and then from there I'm going to give her a lot of layers. This so she would have a lot of volume in her hair.
