Hi! I'm Karen for Expert Village. Let's start with measuring and cutting our fabric. I'm going to first measure 16 inches here and just mark that off every 4 or so inches up at the top. Just mark it off like this so we'll have something to follow when we're cutting. Then measure from the edge 18 inches, and do the same thing marking it every 3 or 4 inches. You don't need to use any fancy marking pencils. A regular pencil will do. Then we'll just cut that out following our marks. Now, if you're not confident to follow your marks like this, you can take a ruler and match your marks up and draw yourself a line. If you go from one mark to the other, then you get a nice straight line. Then here's our 16 inch ones. As long as you make the ruler follow right along our marks, then you'll get a nice straight line. You can just right on that line. Next, we're going to be sewing our cover together.
