How to Store Large, Bulky Machines in Your Home Office

Hi this is Shana Bethune with Expert Village. I'm going to talk to you about how to arrange technology in your home office. So obviously you're going to want to have your computer right on your desk right in front of you. But there are other things such as printers and fax machines and external hard drives that really don't need to be right next to you unless you use them all the time. So the best thing to do is to find some kind of shelving system that can go right by your desk and you can store anything you need on it. Like a printer that you don't use very often or maybe an external hard drive, also make sure that you store anything you don't use very often far away from your desk that it doesn't get in the way. Often times I see people who have home offices with all sorts of equipment that they never use just sitting around collecting dust having this stuff around is clutter and can also be very distracting. If you have something that you really don't use ever but you want to save it for some reason, store it in a drawer or somewhere else. Also make sure you have any sort of components that go with your technology nearby if you use it often, any sort of cords and cables or manuals stuff like that should be very accessible cause it could be incredible frustrating to look around for the right cable or the right cord and not be able to look for something cause you can't find the cable or cord. So technology could really make your life a lot easier but it also can make it much more difficult and having it located in the right places and knowing where everything is at all times can make things much easier for you.
