Electric Guitar Feedback
Hi! My name is Mike Larney from the band Naked Underneath, and on behalf of Expert Village, we are going to talk about feedback. Now it could be your friend, or it could be something that is a problem for you when you are playing electric guitar. Essentially what is happening, when you hear feedback from your amplifier, is that you are playing a chord on your guitar, and the sounds coming out of your amp is actually going to start vibrating your strings to sustain it, and then you are processing the sound twice through your pickups. So as a result of that, if you are holding an E chord and you have the distortion on, when the sound loops around it will be the key of E with the feedback. So let’s see if we can get to go… anyway so feedback can be your friend.
