Depersonalize Your House Before Selling

Hi! I'm Kelley Johnson with K. Nicole Redeisgn for Expert Village. A fireplace is often a focal point in a family room so we want to make sure that the way we accessorize it, stages it to give that maximum appeal to buyers. One thing that we often find when we live in a home is that we love to display our family photos on a fireplace. When you decide to sell your home it is time to take away that emotional connection to your home. You have to close on your home mental and emotionally the minute you decide to put your house on the market. So taking away all of your family photos is one way that we close on your home before we sell it. When you accessorize a fireplace to stage it, we just use nice art work and nice color. So in this example we have candles that really a nice sense of elegance and we also have a nice piece of artwork that is very dramatic. It is really giving the room some height as well as some color.
