How to Play Major Scales on the Electric Guitar
Hi! My name is Mike Larney from the band Naked Underneath, and on behalf of Expert Village we are going to over a major scale. So I am going to start off my first major scale, I am going to key G, so on the first string, the very top one, on the third fret is our first note, and then the fifth fret in that same string, the second fret on second string, the third fret on the second string, the fifth fret on the second string, the second fret on the third string, the fourth fret on the third string and the fifth fret on the third string, so we can do that in reverse as well. Now that works anywhere on the guitar relative to where it starts, so we can start say here. Now in addition we can do parts of that. That is the basic techniques of using a major scale wherever we are on the guitar.
